UK Managing Director

Pascal is an MSc-qualified civil and structural engineer with a wide range of experience covering engineering delivery, project management and business responsibilities for international operations. Since 2012, Pascal has been Senior Vice President for SYSTRA Northern Europe Region, responsible for all SYSTRA’s activities in this area spanning from United Kingdom to Russia, and from Scandinavia to Germany. He is based in London, at the headquarters of the Northern Europe Region. Pascal is also the Managing Director of SYSTRA Ltd, the largest subsidiary of SYSTRA Group by revenue, which includes over 400 staff in the UK and Ireland.

Aidan Eaglestone


Regional Consultancy Director, Northern Europe
Aidan is an experienced director with 27 years’ experience in transport consultancy. He has a breadth of international experience gained across the UK and Asia working effectively in diverse cultural environments. His technical expertise covers demand and revenue forecasting for major rail schemes, public transport planning, highway planning, traffic and revenue forecasts for toll road projects, scheme evaluation, multi-modal strategy studies, station planning and airport surface access. Aidan has held executive director roles in both Asia and UK within the SYSTRA Group and has a successful track record in the leadership of consulting units.

Steve Higham


Managing Director, Engineering
Steve is a widely experienced UK-Rail Programme Manager with a background in Civil Engineering but he has specialised in multi-functional signalling and electrification project delivery for the last 10 years. Steve is a dynamic communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a highly motivational management style with a track record of managing complex multi-disciplined Rail infrastructure projects, gaining a reputation for delivery within the industry. Steve’s technical and managerial experience have combined to create a highly successful Programme Manager, Managing Director, and now Engineering Managing Director for SYSTRA. 

Alan James


Managing Director, Consultancy
Alan is an experienced transport planner; he has worked in the industry for close to 25 years. His experience spans policy and strategy, assessment and design to implementation and monitoring. As a Director for the past ten years his particular areas of expertise are development and infrastructure planning, masterplanning, travel planning and surface access for airports. Prior to joining SYSTRA he was an Executive Director at JMP, where he was responsible for growing its private sector business and driving operational and commercial performance.

Richard Demblon


Human Resources Director
Richard joined SYSTRA as Regional Human Resources Director, Northern Europe in October 2016 and additionally took on the responsibility as Human Resources Director for SYSTRA Ltd in the UK from 1 January 2017. Richard has a BA Degree in Psychology and over 25 years’ experience in Human Resources. He is an experienced international HR leader with sound commercial acumen and a genuine passion for people. Before joining SYSTRA, Richard held HR leadership roles at group, regional and asset level within multiple sectors across global locations.

Mustapha Laaboudi


Regional Chief Financial Officer
Mustapha holds a Masters in Finance and Auditing from Lille Business School. He joined SYSTRA in April 2012 as a Group Accounting Manager. In March 2015, he was appointed as Northern Europe Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Systra, Mustapha worked for Ernst & Young as a Senior Financial Consultant for four years. His experience includes forecasting, M&A, cost control, auditing, risk management and improving cash performance, financial controls, and profitability.

Richard Hancox


Operations Director, Consultancy
Richard Hancox has over 26 years of experience of working in transport consultancy. He is a transport planner with strong analytical and mathematical modelling skills and has considerable knowledge of the specification, development and application of transport models. He is also an accomplished Project Director and has specific experience in transport forecasting and policy analysis through strategic and detailed multi-modal studies and analysis of highway and public transport schemes. Richard has held a senior management role in SYSTRA’s consultancy business for the last 10 years and is currently responsible for the operational performance of the division.

Daniel Ventham


Senior Counsel
Daniel joined SYSTRA in 2015 as Senior Counsel for the UK and Nordic regions, and provides advice to the Group on common law in jurisdictions such as the US. He has key responsibility for Legal, Corporate Governance, Ethics and Compliance. Daniel has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, was Called to the Bar in 2000 and qualified as a Solicitor (England and Wales) in 2005. Prior to joining SYSTRA, Daniel has held a number of senior counsel positions advising a variety of companies on global projects, compliance, corporate governance and insurance matters.
