Senior Software Developer - Edinburgh

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join a small team developing market leading traffic simulation software in our central Edinburgh office.

We offer interesting and challenging work on a product sold internationally with a focus on usability and core functionality. We use modern compilers and tools, with regular hours and no on-call requirements. 

Essential skills:

  • C++, C# or Java
  • Familiar with unit testing

Desirable skills:

  • C++ and C#
  • UI design and implementation (WPF, MVVM, MVC)
  • 3D graphics (OpenGL, OpenSceneGraph)
  • Automated testing (Unit testing, mocking frameworks)
  • Source code control (Git)
  • Continuous integration (GitLab)

We are looking for candidates who:

  • can develop product features with minimal supervision
  • actively engage in developing their skills and knowledge
  • can supervise and mentor junior members of the team
  • can think through decisions rather than simply following instructions
  • can communicate complex technical problems to peers
  • have a strong understanding of data structures & algorithms
  • can identify and implement improvements to our practices

  • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science or related field
