FRANCE Rhine to Rhone Eastern Branch
We were appointed by the French Railway Infrastructure Manager to undertake an audit of the pre-project costs estimate for the 190km HSR line between Villers-les-Pots and Petit-Croix.
MOROCCO Casablanca to Tangier via Rabat
We led the consortium which produced the first detailed HSR master plan for an HSR line between Casablanca to Tangier via Rabat. This was the first HSR plan for Morocco and a first for Africa. We continue to advise the Moroccan national operator ONCF on the construction of the line.
CHINA Beijing to Shanghai & Beijing to Tianjin (include image)
We undertook a peer review of the design criteria for the 1300km Beijing to Shanghai route for the Chinese Ministry of Railways. We also project managed the design criteria for testing, commissioning and operating the 117km HSR line from Beijing to Tianjin in time for the 2008 Olympic Games.

MEXICO Mexico City (include image)
We advised the Mexican Government on planning it’s first high-speed rail development in the country linking Mexico City to Guadalajara. This 600km high-speed railway is planned to link both cities within 2 hours.

SOUTH KOREA - Seoul to Busan (include image)
For over 20 years SYSTRA has been involved in the development of the Korea Train Express (KTX) which links the South Korean capital Seoul to the cities of Deagu and Busan, a total distance of 412km on the south eastern coast. SYSTRA has been project partner to the South Korean Government providing civil engineering, track design and project management of the construction phases. The KTX adopted the French TGV technology for the rolling stock and SYSTRA provided assistance for the operation and maintenance of the rolling stock, cantenary and signalling.
TAIWAN Taipei to Kaohsiung (include image)
This 345km HSR line links the country’s two main cities. Our involvement in this public-private partnership project has evolved over time. During the 1990s we project managed the project from planning and feasibility phase to detailed design. From 1999 we worked alongside the Taiwan High-speed Rail Corporation on the detailed operation processes, the inspection of designs and construction phase and provided assistance to the operation and maintenance programmes.
